The Watershed Way PAN India
Manav Vikas Sanstha is committed to addressing water scarcity and enhancing livelihoods across India. To promote water security and sustainability, we propose constructing check dams, anicuts, and dugout ponds. These interventions will improve water storage, recharge, and availability for agriculture, domestic use, and the environment. By involving local communities and utilising regional resources, we aim to boost agricultural productivity, support socio-economic development, and build resilience. Our goal is to create lasting impacts through sustainable water management and empower communities for a brighter, more secure future.
Objectives:
- Empowering local communities through participatory water management.
- To increase availability of water for irrigation, livestock and domestic use.
- To improve ground water recharge and aquifer replenishment.
- Increasing agricultural productivity and livelihood resilience.
- To reduce the risks of soil erosion, sedimentation and floods.
