• Establish Nationwide Infrastructure: Develop efficient collection, segregation, and recycling facilities for e-waste and plastic waste across urban, semi-urban, and rural areas.
• Raise Public Awareness: Educate communities on the environmental and health risks associated with improper disposal of e-waste and plastic, promoting responsible recycling practices.
• Ensure Safe Recycling and Material Recovery: Implement environmentally sound recycling processes to recover valuable materials from e-waste, thereby minimizing landfill waste and reducing demand for raw materials.
• Create Job Opportunities: Generate green jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities by training individuals in e-waste management and recycling, formalizing the informal sector.
• Advocate for Policy Compliance: Promote the effective implementation of E-Waste (Management) Rules and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) to ensure accountability from manufacturers regarding their products’ end-of-life management.
• Foster a Circular Economy: Encourage reuse, refurbishment, and recycling of electronic devices to extend their life cycle and contribute to environmental conservation and economic growth.
